SMOKING KILLS!

I’m cheering for the govt decision to raise the cigarette price to RM6 per pack. That is still cheap though, 30 sen sebatang? I wish the price exceed RM10 per pack! Even school kids are smoking nowadays.. mana dpt duit nih?

Since I have nothing to do at home, I have decided to play my role in promoting anti-smoking campaign. My first target, of course YOU, my readers!!! hahahaha… Here are some of amazing anti-smoking ads I manage to find in the net. And trust me, these ads are COOL!!!

Happy Deepavali..

It’s a long weekend… and Happy Deepavali to those who celebrate the festival of light

There were lots of food eating events in the last few days, open houses, jamuan raya, marhaban n kenduri arwah… dem, my tummy hurts..

I got my eyes tested today. Finally, it’s time for a new pair of glasses. My last pair hopefully. I’m aiming for LASIK in 2 years time..hehehe

And lastly, I was stung by a ‘penyengat’ while bersihkan halaman rumah yesterday. The sharp pain shot almost instantly. At one moment my fingers felt numb. It’s still hurt this morning and right now, it’s itchyness is driving me crazy! The area is red and swollen waaaa……

the last 2 weeks…

I don’t think there is anything significant or spectacular happens in the last 2 weeks. How mundane my life is. I also realise that I am getting lazy to update my blog in some days due to lack of sensational topics to be written (hehe mcm journalist pule).

I’m fasting today. The 10th day. I’ve been on fasting marathon with only 1 day break after pose hari ke 5. Hopefully I will make it till maghrib. InsyaAllah. There are few more pose nazar to go, but I want to have a date with Mr. Breakfast and Mr. Lunch for few days (miss them actually).

And yeay it is still Syawal a.k.a raya. My parents are busy attending our neighbours and their masjid friends’ marhaban and open houses. I prefer to stay at home (kenyang already..berbuka makan dgn byknyer hehe). Sunday night will be our ‘pakatan’ jamuan raya. It is basically a super duper big open house/jamuan raya for all residents of this ‘jalan’. It’s been a tradition that one house in the pakatan will be the host. Then the baton will be passed to the next house the following raya. As far as I know, our house has not hosted it YET. I wish the food is good. I want satay, a lot of satayyyyyy…

My four little kittens are growing healthily. Their are soooo gemuks and comel. Big  head, round face, sepet eyes, small nose (kalau human baby bley diagnose Down Syndrome ni ;p ). They are walking using the front legs with their tummy terheret on the floor at the moment. Couldn’t wait for my brother to come home. He will be sooo happy to see the kittens!

My induksi will be in the middle of November. 3 weeks to go. Hopefully they put us in a very nice hotel. But considering the fact that the govt is on ‘perbelanjaan berhemah’, they might do the induksi in any cheap or maybe free govt properties like in maktab perguruan and we will be staying in the asrama huhu… sedihnyer.. After 2 weeks induksi, the BTN will follow. Then I will start the gruelling working life!

Finally, having known my induksi date, I am so motivated to do my last minute revision. I’ve been memorising formulas for a few medical calculations last night. Formula to calculate the corrected calcium for albumin for example hehhehe.. In the UK, all these are done by the lab but in Malaysia doctors have to calculate manually in their brain… hmm I’m not sure how it goes in a big new hospital but that what I saw during my elective at Hospital Muar.

Okie dokie, it’s time for a nap.

1) response to pain – absent

2) pupil reflex – absent and pupil appear fixed and dilated

3) pulse (carotid) over 1 minute – absent

4) heart sound over 1 minute – absent

5) breathing movement and sound over 1 minute – absent

*4 & 5 using a stethoscope of course….

Now, selamat meng’confirm’ death..
