minum pagi
I always think it’s a good policy for government servants to have ‘minum pagi’ break every morning. Not all people can take food early in the morning before going to work, or have time to prepare one and of course, by having minum pagi break we help thousands of hawkers, warung2, stalls and cafes in which most of them are owned by Malays to make their living. But today, I finally found its ‘bull****’ and what a problem the policy is to the customers especially if you want to meet someone at the office.
1) You go to work at 8 am, at 9.30 out for minum pagi till 10.30am…If you’re really having breakfast, it would roughly take less than 20 mins..okaylah 30 minutes tops. But the problem is, instead of minum at the cafe 2 minutes away, you choose to go to a mamak stall 20 mins drive away! helllloooooo it’s working time okay! What a waste of time. Lots of work can be done, problems can be solved, customers can be satisfied in that wasted 1 1/2 hours..
2) On Monday, you have breakfast at 9am, Tuesday at 10a, Wed at 9.30 am and so on…. there’s no specific time and you go at your own leisure. What will happen to the customers who wait to meet you at the office? let them wait? what will happen to your piagam pelanggan that said ‘anda akan dilayan dalam masa 15 minits bla2….” I suggest you bring those boards down. And I really hate these sentences “owh, En. X baru je keluar minum” or “maaflah, En. Z takde, dia keluar minum. Pukul 11 pg nanti datang balik la ye“
3) It’s MOOOOORE than a minum pagi. First, teh tarik n nasi lemak. Then you take time for a fag. At the same time, you read newspaper or borak2 kosong, then go to the bank to pay bills and only after that you’re back @ your desk. Dem…
Basically, I’m pissed! Nak keje, keje betul2 lah. Makan gaji bute ape?
